It is time again for us as a professional society to encourage the local junior high and high school students in their science endeavors. It is Science Fair time again! This is a great way for us to help out our local schools and impact the scientists of the future (and hopefully some future ACS members). It is also a great way to be an active member in the ACS Akron Section.
The Akron Section of the ACS sponsors $100 awards at three science fairs in the local area and we are looking for some volunteers to judge the two remaining fairs and select the winning projects. The dates are Saturday, March 20 for District V and Saturday, March 27 for District 13. Judging is typicaly finished by about noon.
Information packets are available to assist you in the judging process, and all awards are also provided. If you can help on any of these dates or would like more information, please contact Adessa Butler at
