The Akron Section of the ACS is accepting nominations for the 2021 Akron Section Award, to be presented at the November general meeting to an outstanding chemistry professional in any field. The award consists of a $1000 honorarium and an engraved plaque.
As part of the acceptance of this award, the awardee is asked to deliver two lectures for the Akron Section. One lecture, given during the day at the University of Akron, is typically geared towards a more technical audience, while the evening lecture is held at a second venue and geared towards a more general audience. It has not been determined at this time whether the seminars will be delivered in person or virtually.
Nominations should include a CV along with a letter of recommendation and should be sent to the Awards Chair, Dr. Charles M. Kausch (email@example.com), by Monday, August 23, 2021.
